Launch of the Shenandoah University Alumni Virtual Book Club!

We’re excited to announce the launch of a virtual book club focused on professional development and personal growth for Shenandoah University alumni and friends. The group will be an online community where alumni and friends can connect with each other and enjoy books on professional topics such as business, communications, leadership, productivity and more. Participation is completely free for Shenandoah University alumni and friends.

You can sign up at https://www.pbc.guru/shenandoahu/ or keep reading to learn more. The deadline to sign up for the program is Sunday, June 25. The book club begins on June 26.

The book club will connect through a private Facebook group where alumni and friends can discuss the current book and network with each other. You just have to get a copy of the book to enjoy. The group will read one book every two months so you'll have plenty of time for each book. You are not committed to read every book.

Successful Alumni Profile: Charles Harbaugh IV ’09, ’11, Business Administration

“Shenandoah gave me the business acumen to succeed in business from a global standpoint.”

Charles Harbaugh IV ’09, ’11 decided to come to Shenandoah because location was very important to him. He developed a very close relationship with Miles Davis, Dean of the Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business and Professor of Management, after taking a course with him. Dean Davis was a driving force in Harbaugh’s election to the Middletown Town Council in 2010.

Featured Class News of the Month

Alumna Olivia Wymer's (AS ’15) second grade class from Evendale Elementary School in Winchester, Virginia was the first to tour the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center. The students spent the morning with President Fitzsimmons, Athletic Director Doug Zipp, Director of Physical Plant Barry Schnoor and Buzzy. Wymer even had her students write letters to President Fitzsimmons explaining to her what the Athletics & Events Center was going to be used for, and the sky was the limit!
